as far as a genre...

I think it'd work in general rock, what with the beat and the guitar. I would suggest having the synth lead melody at a higher pitch so it stands out better in the mix. Other than that, the song sounds great, good chord progression, good rhythm and feel. Good work.

Michael-Flaherty responds:

Yeah, I suppose that'd fit better in rock than miscellaneous, and yeah when the melody synth comes in I should have done more to blend it into the mix. Anyway, thanks for the review!

Interesting change of style

Going from space exploration themes to metal, haha. Still turned out pretty good, the guitar does get a little annoying when it plays the same note repetitively on 8th notes, but at the same time it almost makes it sounds like an amateur recording, so it kinda makes it more realistic by being less than perfect. lol.

Anyway, sounds pretty good, nice work.

KKSlider60 responds:

Lo-fi for the effin win! Woot! XD
Yes, no problems when playing arpeggios, but for ostinato passages it's a nightmare.
Thanks for the quick review, man :)

Very well done!

Quite hilarious, actually. The comical ending made it perfectly light humor. Also, whoever sang the lyrics used the perfect voice for it. Very nice work. :D

Bezo responds:

Whoever? I sang the lyrics!

I was a singer long before I started composing.

Thanks for the review.

Very nice.

The intro is very cool, and the rhythm is too. I have a few Deadmau5 albums, but I've not heard this one. D: So I can't really judge it compared to the original... So ima just have to say, this is very well done. :D Sounds very mau5y. It's all mixed well and, like you said, simple in a good way. And yes, you should do a longer version of it. Good work so far.

D-Chain responds:

Thanks man :) im glad you liked it ^^
this song is featered on the 2008 album; Deadmau5- Random Album Title
its imo the best album he made so far cz of the amazing diversity and random songs he made.

i wasn't impressed at first...

But knowing your work, I decided to keep listening, and I'm glad I did. That was pretty gat dang awesome. Great work. The piano bit was unexpected, but it worked. haha. I would love to dance to this is I had space in my room. lol.

dj-Nate responds:

Haha I know, the piano is something that will be in the final mix.

Cool

But the vocal tracks don't really fit sometimes, sounding off beat and out of tune just a bit. That could be easily fixed. Other than that the rhythm and sound of the synths is very cool.

NanvanNoord responds:

Thanks for the review.
I agree.

cool ideas

But they need to be structured a bit better. It kind of sounds like you kept switching between instruments, if you could just stay on one solid section for longer that would help. The natural guitar you used at around 0:20 sounds a bit too loud, and raw. Some reverb would help that. You could also use some work with EQing amd mastering. Other than that, you have some skills that have the potential to be developed further. Keep up the good work.

AxelFar responds:

Thanks man, love when people comment to help me out
this is just my second song, i have much to learn, thanks
yeah, the guitar is even too high, and i will try the EQing mastering
and you are right about in the instruments, i will try!

Thanks Again.

Nice

I like the chorus on the snare drum in the beginning. But I felt like some of the power was lost once the beat drops. Cool chord structure either way, and nice movement throughout the song. Not quite Deadmau5, but very good. haha.

Numi responds:

Thanks for the kind words :D I know it's kinda.. weird.. it's my first try at house. Ever. Good learning experience though!

Really nice.

Cool rhythm, really makes you want to move even though I can't dance. haha. It does get just a little boring though, maybe going in a different direction, give it a change. A bit of a break section, with a different genre's feel. Other than that it's very cool. Good work.

Zechy responds:

Thank you for your review :).

It's work from bad mood and long time boredom, so i'm not thinking about rhytm. It's just for good mood :).

Maybe i have bad english, i'm from Czech Republic.

Cool sound

nice beat, a cool chord structure. The dub-ish breakdown seems kind of too mellow to fit with the rest of the song. You could've really amped up the bass in that section, given it a lot more movement. I like the vocal clips you used in it though, the laugh after the break was a nice touch, kind of funny actually. The whole sound of it is very cool, good work.

inhstudios responds:

yeah, i kinda made that part in like 10 minutes, i shoulda spent more time on it.
thanks for listening man!
and for some reason, when i tried upping the bass in that section for depth, sound got distorted.
but i only spent 10 minutes on that bass effect anyways..
i was thinking about fixing it, but i was also thinking of how much work that would be, and how lasy i am :)

edit

I just upped the bass in that part now, as well as shift the other over.
im uploading the new mp3 now, be sure to relisten for that sweetsweetbass!

Meh.
