Nice, easy listening. Your have a great voice, and the guitar is awesome too. Sometimes it's a little hard to make out what the lyrics are, but that will definitely improve with a better mic. The one you used is good, but certainly not the best. The chorus is pretty catchy, once this is recorded more professionally it'll be excellent. Keep workin on it. :D

Evark responds:

Yea, I think I needed to play with the mic more. I had the vocals AND guitar in cardioid, but I think I should've done the vocals in stereo. Thanks for listening!

Interesting sound, it puts the image in my head of some ninja doing all sorts of epic things and no one even sees him, haha. It's nice and simplistic with a solid beat. My only advice would be to build it into something bigger, and you could always do a bass drop, but that's up to you. It's pretty good so far, nice work.

Indigoflare responds:

Simplicity was my priority, but yes, I could've added some drops and whatnot. Thanks though, I really appreciate the feedback!

Everything is balanced together well. The different chords you used from the original were interesting, but pushed the limit just a bit when the lyrics hit that jazzy off note on the last line and the music doesn't really match up with it quite right. Other than that the piano sounded great, and the beat is solid. Good work, this is a quality remix.

ChimeraNoise responds:

Thanks a lot Robin! Appreciate it!

Sounds really solid, but in some places the vocals could be balanced with the music a little better, they overpower it a bit in the beginning. Other than that this is really well put together. The intro build is awesome. Great work, one of the better remixes on NG.

OXXOI77777 responds:

I actually agree with you that the vocal are too loud in the beginning. They were originally much quieter, but I cranked them up because they got drowned out when the drums came in. Maybe I could have made them start off lower and gradually increase, but probably I didn't of it at the time (or I was just too lazy, heh). I will definitely do that next time though! Thanks for your feedback

Very well written. The vocals sound great, the auto-tuning fit very well. The melody is super catchy, which I feel in dubstep can sometimes be more important than the bass. It never gets boring or repetitive. This is some of the best dubstep I've heard in a while. great work.

TrevorMcNally responds:

Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

very chill.

I'm diggin the percussion in this one, super groovy. :D This makes me want to be somewhere tropical, or at least warm. lol. It gives me the sense of being somewhere else, of having some worldy knowledge. Great work once again.

KKSlider60 responds:

Thank you mate ^^ Who wouldn't be in a tropical beach right now, haha

Groovy.

The rhythm and melody are catchy, but the vocals could use some work. They just need to be pronounced a bit more clearly. This song is very chill and I'd like to see you make a longer version. Then I'd like to take it and make a dubstep remix. :D Haha, good work so far.

Firefreezer responds:

You could be right with the vocals. I never tried to record vocals before I made this song. I just used the microphone of my headset, maybe I should try the mic I use for piano-recordings. : )
Would you really make a dubstep remix or was it just for fun? PM me! :D

Thank you for the 7!

Calming

It's very easy on the ears, as if it's telling you to just slow down and take a deep breath. The changes in the percussion keep it flowing nicely. The end could use a bit of work, it feels too abrupt. Using that last chord to end it is fine, it just needs a couple more seconds to fade out before the song ends. Good work so far, the only way to learn and get better is to keep working at it.

Siamorain responds:

Heck, I guess the redesign made me forget to check and I just noticed your review! Btw, I highly appreciate that you took the time to listen and comment this stuff, that means a lot to me! I do agree with you about the ending part, that feels just slapped there to gain some additional time because we were tired (due to demo version limitations we couldn't re-open projects after saving and closing) and couldn't think up of anything useful AND appealing to fit in, so we called it a day and accepted it the way it was. Now, i do like it, but I still feel we could have done it a lot better... Boy, better luck next time! Thanks again pal!

Pretty cool so far

What you could try doing is have a halftime, super heavy dub section after that evil laugh. You could also boost the whole song just a little bit, and mix it to bring out some lacking frequencies a little more. Other than that this is a very nice, groovey dubstep song. Good work so far, I'll have to check in to see when you finish it. :D

J-N-R responds:

Thank you! Sounds like a plan! It is really hard for be to boost anything because of the amount of tracks that are used to get the sound. I may be the soundcard I am using which makes it start to distort so I will have to play around with it.

slow and steady, but catchy

Like you said, it's simple, but pretty good. The melody is sweet and the bassline is easy on the ears. I think you should keep building it and have a big giant chorus section, but it's your song and your call. Keep workin on it though, I'm diggin it so far. :D

jbarnett responds:

thanks

Meh.
