lol at the cowardly lion

I'm diggin the style, it's mellow and awesome dubbing all at once. I imagine this is what a demon would listen to when it just wants to chill. lol.

Really though, it was well made except for being a tad repetitive. The vocal clips made it a lot better though. Good work.

CowardlyLion responds:

Thanks a lot, man! Haha, I could totally see that. Aye, my bad for the repetitiveness, I strive to improve on that! Thanks again, I hope you enjoy my future creations as well :)

I'm diggin the swing rhythm.

This is super filthy. All the crazy effects work well together for how spastic they seem to get, haha. I'll have to remember to keep an eye out for the full version. Nice work.

This song is fun.

The bass and drums sound just fine, and the lead synth you're using meshes very nicely with everything else. The melody is sort of simple, but that works well for this song. After a while though, the same melody gets old, even though you added another synth to it. A bridge would help, or maybe a faster build and another break. Other than that it sounds great so far, keep it up.

Nugit responds:

Yeah sorry about that i'm not very creative..

simple but nice.

The snare hits seem a little too quiet, but that's not a big deal since it ends up balancing well. The chord progression and melody are very nice, and I like how it built up out of a simple intro. The effect sounds in the ending were interesting too, but I hope you're planning on making it longer and adding more to it. Good work so far.

sonicxtreme responds:

Thanks

Reminds me of Pink Floyd.

What with the long intro and the amazing guitar, and drums, and... everything, it was excellent. Dan Adams did a hell of a job with the intro, and the chord progression is marvelous. There's no question that this deserves to be #1, and I'll be adding my 5/5 to the score. If you ever need a vocalist/lyrics writer, feel free to contact me (sorry, I needed to put in a shameless plug somewhere). Simply beautiful.

Impressive

This has to be the most unique dubstep song I've ever heard. It has a reggae feel with a heavy beat, and the dubbing bass is just perfect. I know the chances of you changing it at this point are about 0%, somewhere around there, but I would love to see how it sounds with some steel drums thrown in during fill sections.

as far as a genre...

I think it'd work in general rock, what with the beat and the guitar. I would suggest having the synth lead melody at a higher pitch so it stands out better in the mix. Other than that, the song sounds great, good chord progression, good rhythm and feel. Good work.

Michael-Flaherty responds:

Yeah, I suppose that'd fit better in rock than miscellaneous, and yeah when the melody synth comes in I should have done more to blend it into the mix. Anyway, thanks for the review!

To answer your question

In Japan, a man can marry a body pillow... so there's that. Not sure if he gets a tax break or anything, but he can say he's a married man.

Anyhow, this song is wonderfully light, except for that strange bit of distortion at around 1:35. The transition from that to piano doesn't mesh very well either, although it's another likable melody, and the transition back to the distorted guitar sound is a lot smoother. I'd say turn the distortion way down and find a way to blend the two melodies a bit better, and it would be perfect.

I've been gone from newgrounds for too long. It brings me so much joy to know it's still the same. I love you all
