simple but nice.

The snare hits seem a little too quiet, but that's not a big deal since it ends up balancing well. The chord progression and melody are very nice, and I like how it built up out of a simple intro. The effect sounds in the ending were interesting too, but I hope you're planning on making it longer and adding more to it. Good work so far.

Just 3 hours?

Hey, this is pretty good. A little bit repetitive though, it would be nice if there was a section without the melody line going. I do appreciate that you had some dynamic variation, but dropout at around 2:10 seemed too sudden, and didn't fit that well. Maybe have some sort of a bridge before it. The key change was interesting, but again, seemed to lack purpose, but the change of rhythm afterwards was refreshing. Overall it's very well done. Keep tweaking it until you're happy with it.

Thanks for the review.
I like your idea to add a section with out the melody, I will do it now. I liked the dropout so I will not change that.

Reminds me of Pink Floyd.

What with the long intro and the amazing guitar, and drums, and... everything, it was excellent. Dan Adams did a hell of a job with the intro, and the chord progression is marvelous. There's no question that this deserves to be #1, and I'll be adding my 5/5 to the score. If you ever need a vocalist/lyrics writer, feel free to contact me (sorry, I needed to put in a shameless plug somewhere). Simply beautiful.

Impressive

This has to be the most unique dubstep song I've ever heard. It has a reggae feel with a heavy beat, and the dubbing bass is just perfect. I know the chances of you changing it at this point are about 0%, somewhere around there, but I would love to see how it sounds with some steel drums thrown in during fill sections.

as far as a genre...

I think it'd work in general rock, what with the beat and the guitar. I would suggest having the synth lead melody at a higher pitch so it stands out better in the mix. Other than that, the song sounds great, good chord progression, good rhythm and feel. Good work.

Michael-Flaherty responds:

Yeah, I suppose that'd fit better in rock than miscellaneous, and yeah when the melody synth comes in I should have done more to blend it into the mix. Anyway, thanks for the review!

To answer your question

In Japan, a man can marry a body pillow... so there's that. Not sure if he gets a tax break or anything, but he can say he's a married man.

Anyhow, this song is wonderfully light, except for that strange bit of distortion at around 1:35. The transition from that to piano doesn't mesh very well either, although it's another likable melody, and the transition back to the distorted guitar sound is a lot smoother. I'd say turn the distortion way down and find a way to blend the two melodies a bit better, and it would be perfect.

Interesting change of style

Going from space exploration themes to metal, haha. Still turned out pretty good, the guitar does get a little annoying when it plays the same note repetitively on 8th notes, but at the same time it almost makes it sounds like an amateur recording, so it kinda makes it more realistic by being less than perfect. lol.

Anyway, sounds pretty good, nice work.

Lo-fi for the effin win! Woot! XD
Yes, no problems when playing arpeggios, but for ostinato passages it's a nightmare.
Thanks for the quick review, man :)

Very well done!

Quite hilarious, actually. The comical ending made it perfectly light humor. Also, whoever sang the lyrics used the perfect voice for it. Very nice work. :D

Bezo responds:

Whoever? I sang the lyrics!

I was a singer long before I started composing.

Thanks for the review.

silly

But has enough to it that it could be made into a very cool song if you made it longer. Nice work so far, it's funky. :D

Very nice.

The intro is very cool, and the rhythm is too. I have a few Deadmau5 albums, but I've not heard this one. D: So I can't really judge it compared to the original... So ima just have to say, this is very well done. :D Sounds very mau5y. It's all mixed well and, like you said, simple in a good way. And yes, you should do a longer version of it. Good work so far.

D-Chain responds:

Thanks man :) im glad you liked it ^^
this song is featered on the 2008 album; Deadmau5- Random Album Title
its imo the best album he made so far cz of the amazing diversity and random songs he made.
