A bit repetitive...

I'd say this is a classical song, not a new wave. But anyway, it sounds good overall. At some points it sounds a bit mechanical, like the way the trumpets cut out instead of fading out. It doesn't sound like they were supposed to do that, but more like they were suddenly muted. I dunno how to explain it really, but it just needs to sound more natural. The backgrounds were also a bit too quiet. It needs more body to it, more bass instruments like perhaps tubas, trombones, etc. Other than that, it sounds very nice. Good work.

thanks bacon my bacon says this bacon does need more and bacononto i think ill give it a wip and try to do that and ill bacon switch it to kevonbaconclassical right away.. wasnt really sure. yes the trumpets i made it to seem like they are stopped very quickly almost like very proffesional players even though this all virtual.

Very cool.

Great idea reversing the Moonlight Sonata. It's amazing how it worked out so well. I really like it, good job with the added melodies. I would recomend using more of a bassy kick, but it doesn't take anything away from this in my opinion. Great work.

GranPian responds:

your opinion is welcome.

Frickin' Awesome.

I love what you did with this song. I hate people that think the Dixie Chicks did it first. -.- There need to be more Classic Rock classes. lol.

I'm assuming that was you singing, but whoever it was, it was beautiful. It sounded like you used just a bit of tuning with the vocals though, but it was in good taste. Absolutely amazing composition, good choice using a piano instead of guitar, I like it better like that in some ways. Great work.

Cayler responds:

Thank you. Yeah, I generally use strong auto-tune for harmonies so that they don't stick out and cause a bad sound (I noticed that many pros do it that way so I imitated. lol) But as for the lead vocals, I always try to keep the tuning to a minimum because most of my vocals are really cose anyway and making them computer perfect removes some of the quality rather than adds it in.

Relaxing.

I may not be an expert in House music, but this doesn't sound like house to me. idk, maybe it's progressive house? No, that doesn't sound right..... I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just saying.......

ANYWHO, good song. I like how it slowly builds up, but still stays simple and relaxing. Nice simple melodies and rhythms. Good work.

C3NTAURI0N responds:

Hey :)

House is a grey area to discuss, hard house borders trance... that's what I've learnt
It's a massive culmination of genres for you to make it your own. I made my style and It's stood up well on here and thus I'm proud of it all.

Thanks for the feedback anyway. much appreciated :)

Fun to listen to.

Very fun song. It definitely reminds me of computers and such. The vision I get for this one is some kind of a man being, well, computer generated, and trying to find his way out of the PC. Or maybe he's in a Mac. Who knows.

Good effects and melody. This would be good for some kind of intense, fast-paced puzzle game. Good work.

Murcielago1 responds:

Haha, thanks for the review. I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
Electro-house seems to be my main focus right now. Still practicing.
I'm glad you liked the sound effects - that's probably one of very few things that I'm proud of, haha.
Once again, thanks for your review =D

This sounds right professional.

I wouldn't be surprised if I heard something similiar to this on the radio. This is an incredible remix. I've never heard the actual song before, but this remix made me like it. A lot. Good job.

Crazy story.

That's a right whacky story you have for this song. The scene you described doesn't even come near what I get in my head from listening to this song. But regardless, good work. It's pretty simple, doesn't have a lot of change or variation. That sound you have that somes in at 1:25 is kinda catchy though, a very unique sound. Overall, good job.

This could bring tears to my eyes.

If I were a slightly more emotional person. Amazingly elegant intro, followed up by an even better main section. My only problem? TOO SHORT. I know you made this for the Death Match which probably means you didn't have a bucket-load of time on your hands, but please come back to this and extend it. For now, I'll just have to live with a 2:43 download. ;D

Very Nice.

As a musician myself, I very much appreciate the key change at the end there. You don't hear that much in House. :D

This song is very nice and smooth, but fun. I like the chord progression in it. Good job not becoming too repetitive and changing it up every so often. BTW, you author's comment looks more like instructions than your thoughts on the song. lol.

Very Nice. :D

My only problem with it is that when you add in that effect..... I don't know the techical term for it.... when it sounds like your turning the volume dial up and down to every beat? It would be fine if you didn't have it so pronounced, like if it didn't go so low. Just a little bit less, so it doesn't sound like it's totally going from something so smooth to something so electronic-sounding so quickly. You definitely need to make it longer though, and as for the repetitive synths, don't worry about that too much, just put in a bridge or something, it will be fine. :D Give it that extra "30%", and I'll download it. mV, (^.^) Bye for now.

Shoephly responds:

:D Thanks for the review, and yea, I was thinking a little bout that, personally i like it like that, but looking back at it, a slight change to make it a little smoother would do good.
The 30% won't be too far away, but right now I'm working on a similar song (smooth strings/choir/piano) but it''s gonna be totally different from this one though; stay tuned! :D
yet again, thanks a lot for the review! ;D

Meh.
